EVERYONE IS WELCOME
Sagomuseet is for everyone, and an important task for us is to increase accessibility to the museum. Sagomuseet is housed in a beautiful, charming building from the 19th century, which does not always meet today’s desired standards for accessibility. We are continuously working to improve accessibility. If you have any questions before your visit, don’t hesitate to contact us. We want to do everything we can to create the best conditions for a successful visit!
DARK ROOMS. DOGS IN THE GARDEN.
Some parts of the museum can feel quite dark, and there are some unusual sounds. As soon as you enter, you may hear various bird sounds. Once inside, you’ll hear people singing, dogs barking, and the crackling of a fire.
No pets are allowed inside the museum, except for guide dogs. However, leashed dogs are welcome in the garden of Sagomuseet. There are several shaded areas if you visit us during the hot summer.

HOW DOES A VISIT WORK?
– During the summer season and school holidays, Sagomuseet (The Museum of Legends) offers storytelling tours, often at specific times. Sometimes it’s drop-in, where we tell stories continuously during opening hours.
– We also offer storytelling tours in German and Danish during the summer and some school holidays. English tours are available upon request.
– If the weather permits, we like to begin storytelling outdoors before moving inside the museum. Otherwise, we start in the storytelling room with visitors seated. After an introduction, you are free to explore the museum, ask questions, and gather again for more stories.
– The duration can vary from about 30 minutes to 1.5 hours, depending on the setup and context, such as open days or pre-booked visits.
