Dominic Kelly creates storytelling performances that draw you deep into the world of your own imagination. He adapts and blends traditional and real-life stories for modern audiences, bringing to vivid life their drama, their humour and what they have to say about our lives in the 21^st Century. His warm, witty and powerful storytelling style has captivated audiences around the world.

UK venues include the Barbican, National Theatre, British Museum and The Times Cheltenham Literature Festival. He directs storytelling & music shows for Norway’s national stage for folk arts, is guest lecturer in storytelling at Sweden’s Royal College of Music, and an associate member of Fabula Storytelling company in Stockholm.

On a stage bare but for two chairs, Dominic slips deftly between direct relationship with the audience and inhabiting the characters of the story to tell this extraordinary tale based on the life of Percy Topliss, AKA John Henry Williams, AKA ‘The Monocled Mutineer’. But he has also smuggled inside Topliss’ World War 1 life a multitude of Trickster folktales and myths from around the world. The result is a hugely entertaining romp, a highly moving personal story and a journey into the heart of what makes us human. ‘Trickster’ has toured to fifty venues in the UK, Belgium, Denmark, Norway, Sweden and Switzerland.
